One of the paradoxes of cycling is that you see a lot of landscape but you don’t take a single picture sometimes. It’s not that the views are not worth taking but rather that you don’t want to stop.
Or at least I don’t want to.
That’s why walking, climbing and other sports are good. We do stop to take pictures. We come home with more than a GPS track.
On the flipside I’m one of not even 900 people to have attempted a steep climb. The gradient from the start is 8 or 9 percent but the gradients for some parts are much steeper.
Steep gradients are fun because they’re a challenge. It’s especially fun when you’re one of 900. I haven’t checked over what time period this is.
It’s still possible to do something original after all.
